Description

These White Chocolate Pretzel Hearts are a delightful sweet and salty treat perfect for Valentine’s Day or any festive occasion. Crispy mini pretzels filled with creamy melted white chocolate almond bark and adorned with colorful heart sprinkles create a fun and easy-to-make confection that’s sure to please both kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 60 mini pretzels
  • 6-8 squares white chocolate almond bark (about 6 oz)
  • 3-4 tablespoons heart-shaped sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare the workspace: Lay out a sheet of wax paper on a flat surface for placing the finished pretzels after assembly.
  2. Melt the almond bark: Break the white chocolate almond bark into squares and place them in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute, then stir. Continue heating in 30-second intervals, stirring after each until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  3. Fill the pretzels: Using a piping bag, Ziploc bag with the corner snipped off, or a small spoon, carefully fill the center of each pretzel with the melted white chocolate, aiming to create a heart shape.
  4. Add the sprinkles: Immediately after filling each pretzel, sprinkle heart-shaped sprinkles over the chocolate before it sets. Work in batches of about 5 pretzels at a time to ensure the chocolate doesn’t harden before sprinkling.
  5. Allow to set: Let the pretzels rest at room temperature for 20-30 minutes until the white chocolate is completely hardened and set.
  6. Serve or store: Once firm, serve the pretzels immediately or store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to several days.

Notes

  • Work in small batches to prevent the chocolate from hardening before adding sprinkles.
  • If you wish to speed up setting, place the pretzels briefly in the refrigerator but remove before condensation forms.
  • You can substitute white chocolate almond bark with regular white chocolate chips, but melting times may vary.
  • Use wax paper or parchment paper to prevent sticking when the pretzels are setting.
  • Store these treats in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain their crispiness.
