Scale
For the Patties
- 1 lb. (454 g) ground turkey
- 2 (24 g) chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup (4 g) chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup (85 g) mango chutney
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (0.5 g) black pepper
- 1 teaspoon (2 g) lime zest
For Cooking & Serving
- Cooking oil spray
- 4 hamburger buns
- Additional mango chutney, for topping
- Cheese slices (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Mix the Patty Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped green onions, cilantro, mango chutney, salt, black pepper, and lime zest. Use your hands to gently mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
- Form Patties & Chill: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty. Place the patties on a plate, cover, and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. This helps the patties firm up and hold their shape during cooking.
- Preheat Pan or Grill: Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Spray the surface lightly with cooking oil to prevent sticking.
- Cook the Burgers: Add the chilled patties to the pan. Cook for about 8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature of the burgers reaches 165°F (74°C) when checked with a digital food thermometer. Flip only once to achieve a good sear.
- Assemble & Serve: Place the cooked turkey patties on hamburger buns. Top with extra mango chutney and cheese if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!

- For extra flavor, toast the buns before assembling the burgers.
- You can use either a skillet or an outdoor grill to cook the patties.
- Choose your favorite cheese or omit for a dairy-free option.
