Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 3 cups peanut butter corn cereal squares (Peanut Butter Chex Cereal)
  • 2 cups wheat cereal squares (Wheat Chex Cereal)
  • 2 cups bite-size pretzels
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese crackers (Cheez-its)
  • 2 cups honey nut o’s cereal (Honey Nut Cheerios)
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1 cup peanut butter candy pieces (Reeses Pieces)

Wet Ingredients & Spices

  • 2/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 275 degrees F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside for later use.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter corn cereal squares, wheat cereal squares, mini pretzels, cheddar cheese crackers, and honey nut o’s cereal. Toss gently to mix evenly.
  3. Prepare Coating: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, light brown sugar, maple syrup, kosher salt, and cinnamon until fully blended and smooth.
  4. Coat the Snack Mix: Pour the prepared butter and sugar mixture over the cereal and pretzel mixture. Stir thoroughly to ensure every piece is evenly coated with the glaze.
  5. Bake the Mixture: Spread the coated snack mix evenly onto the two lined baking sheets. Place them in the oven and bake for about 25 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to promote even browning and prevent burning. The mixture should turn a golden brown.
  6. Cool Completely: Remove the baking sheets from the oven and allow the snack mix to cool completely on the pans to set the coating properly.
  7. Add Final Mix-ins: Once cooled, gently stir in the mini marshmallows, candy corn, and peanut butter candy pieces to the snack mix, distributing them evenly.
  8. Serve or Store: Enjoy the snack mix immediately, or store in an airtight container such as Ball® Storage Latch Jars or Ball® Stack & Store Jars. The mix keeps well for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • Make sure to stir the snack mix every 10 minutes during baking to avoid burning and ensure even browning.
  • Allow the snack mix to cool completely before adding marshmallows and candy to prevent melting.
  • Store the snack mix in an airtight container to maintain crunchiness and freshness.
  • This mix is perfect for fall gatherings, parties, or as a sweet and salty snack anytime.
