Description

Strawberry Frosé is a refreshing frozen rosé slushie made with chilled rosé, fresh strawberries, organic cane sugar, and lime juice. Perfect for summertime gatherings, this pretty pink drink is both easy to prepare and crowd-pleasing, offering a fruity, sweet-tart, and vibrant twist on traditional wine cocktails.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Rosé

  • 1 (750ml) bottle of rosé, chilled

Fruit

  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled and halved

Sweetener

  • 1/2 cup organic cane sugar

Citrus

  • Juice of 1 lime (about 2 tablespoons)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries – Place hulled and halved strawberries in a blender. Add organic cane sugar and lime juice. Blend until smooth to create a sweet strawberry puree.
  2. Blend with Rosé – Pour the chilled rosé into the blender with the strawberry puree. Blend well until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Freeze the Mixture – Pour the mixture into a shallow pan or freezer-safe dish. Freeze for at least 4-6 hours or until the mixture is mostly solid but still slightly slushy.
  4. Blend Again for Slushie Texture – Remove the pan from the freezer and break up the frozen mixture. Return it to the blender and blend again until it reaches a slushie consistency.
  5. Serve – Pour the strawberry frosé into glasses and serve immediately, garnished with fresh strawberries or lime slices if desired.

Notes

  • For best results, use a dry rosé to balance the sweetness of the strawberries and sugar.
  • To speed up freezing, use a metal baking pan.
  • If the mixture is too hard to blend after freezing, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before re-blending.
  • Adjust the sweetness by increasing or decreasing the sugar to taste.
  • This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled for parties.
