Description

Spiderweb Pizzas are a fun and spooky twist on classic mini pizzas, perfect for Halloween or any festive occasion. These easy-to-make pizzas feature a spiderweb design crafted from mozzarella string cheese and are topped with olives shaped into creepy crawly spiders. With minimal prep and quick baking time, they make a delightful treat for both kids and adults.

Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Base

  • 1 package prebaked mini 8-inch pizza crusts (such as Boboli)

Toppings

  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 2 mozzarella string cheese sticks (1 oz each)
  • 3 large pitted black olives

Instructions

  1. Prepare Oven and Crusts: Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). Place the prebaked mini pizza crusts on a baking sheet to prepare for topping.
  2. Add Sauce and Create Spiderweb: Spread the pizza sauce evenly over each crust. Pull the mozzarella string cheese into thin strips and arrange them on the pizzas in the shape of a web for a spooky effect.
  3. Bake Pizzas: Bake the pizzas in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until the cheese melts and starts to bubble. Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for 3 minutes before adding the spider decorations.
  4. Make Olive Spiders: Prepare the olive spiders by cutting off one end of two olives to serve as spider heads. Halve the remaining olive lengthwise; use one olive half as the spider’s body and slice the rest into thin strips for legs. Assemble the spiders on top of the spiderweb cheese on each pizza.

Notes

  • You can substitute the mini crusts with regular pizza dough cut into smaller circles if desired.
  • For a milk-free version, use a vegan cheese alternative that melts well.
  • Additional toppings like pepperoni or bell peppers can be added underneath the cheese web for extra flavor.
  • Use a pizza stone for crispier crust if available.
  • Customize spider shapes using different colored olives or small pepperoni slices.
