Description

Ingredients

Pasta:

  • 8 ounces uncooked penne

Sausage Mixture:

  • 11 ounces hot Italian sausages, removed from casings
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or white wine
  • 1/2 tablespoon flour
  • 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes with juices
  • 1/2 cup heavy/whipping cream
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Small handful fresh basil, sliced/torn
  • Freshly grated parmesan cheese, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Boil salted water and cook pasta al dente.
  2. Cook Sausage: Crumble and brown sausage in a skillet.
  3. Prepare Sauce: Cook garlic, broth, and flour in skillet. Add tomatoes, cream, and cooked sausage. Simmer until thickened.
  4. Finish Dish: Add basil to sauce, toss with pasta, and serve with parmesan.
