Description

These delightful Reese’s Trees are a festive, no-bake treat perfect for holiday celebrations. Crafted by stacking mini and regular Reese’s cups with melted chocolate and topped with a Hershey’s Kiss, these edible trees are decorated with icing, sprinkles, and gold stars to resemble decorated Christmas trees. They are quick to assemble and sure to impress both kids and adults with their creative and delicious presentation.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Base

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips, melted
  • 24 mini Reese’s cups
  • 12 regular Reese’s cups
  • 12 Hershey kisses

Decorations

  • White and green decorating icing
  • Sprinkles
  • Gold stars
  • Confectioners’ sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Assemble the base layers: Place a small amount of melted chocolate on the bottom of a mini Reese’s cup to serve as glue. Then, arrange a regular-size Reese’s cup upside down on top of the mini cup, pressing gently to adhere.
  2. Add the middle layer and top: Add another small drop of melted chocolate on top of the regular Reese’s cup, then place another mini Reese’s cup upside down on top. Dab with more melted chocolate to secure, and finally, top with a Hershey’s kiss, pressing gently to hold everything in place.
  3. Decorate the trees: Use white and green decorating icing to pipe garlands around the trees, mimicking holiday decorations. Sprinkle festive sprinkles over the frosting to add color and texture. Add a dot of frosting on top of the Hershey’s kiss and adhere a gold star as the tree topper.
  4. Optional finishing touch: Lightly dust the completed Reese’s Trees with confectioners’ sugar to simulate a dusting of snow, adding a festive winter effect.

Notes

  • Work quickly with melted chocolate to avoid it hardening before assembly.
  • Use a piping bag or a small plastic bag with the corner snipped off for easier application of decorating icing.
  • Store finished trees in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for up to two days.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute Hershey’s kisses and Reese’s cups with suitable vegan chocolate candies.
