Instructions
- Bake Brownies: Prepare the brownie batter according to your favorite recipe or mix instructions. Spray a brownie mold lightly with vegetable oil spray. Spoon the batter into the prepared molds, filling each about two-thirds full. Bake the brownies in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 22 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean. Allow brownies to cool completely in the mold before gently pushing from the back to release them.
- Tint Icing: Prepare buttercream frosting. Divide into four portions and tint each half-cup with a different color using gel and regular icing colors: combine Golden Yellow and Lemon Yellow for a bright yellow, mix Orange with a touch of Lemon Yellow for orange, and use teal and violet for the other colors. Stir well until uniform colors are achieved.
- Decorate Brownies: Using a small spatula, ice the tops of each cooled brownie bite with the colored icings, leaving the stem area bare. Place candy eyeballs onto each brownie face while icing is still soft to secure them. Using a black icing tube fitted with a small nozzle (tip number 2), pipe spooky mouths onto the pumpkin faces to give them character and complete the look.
Notes
- Use gel food coloring instead of liquid for more vibrant colors without thinning the frosting.
- Ensure brownies are fully cooled before decorating to prevent melting of the icing.
- Customize the pumpkin faces by varying mouth expressions and colors for a fun variety.
- These brownie bites are best served the same day but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
