Description

This Piña Colada recipe brings the taste of the tropics right to your home. Frozen pineapple, creamy coconut cream, and a blend of rums create a classic and refreshing cocktail that’s perfect for warm days, parties, or simply relaxing by the pool (or couch!).

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 cups frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup coconut cream
  • 3 ounces white rum
  • 1 ounce dark rum (optional, for float)
  • Maraschino cherries, for garnish
  • Pineapple wedges, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Blend: Combine frozen pineapple, pineapple juice, coconut cream, and white rum in a blender. Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high speed, until completely smooth.
  2. Serve: Pour into two glasses. Optionally, float ½ ounce of dark rum on top of each drink. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and a pineapple wedge.

Notes

  • Leftover piña colada can be stored in the refrigerator for 1-2 days.
  • Adjust the amount of rum to your preference.
  • For a virgin piña colada, omit the rum entirely.
