Main Ingredients
- 2 slices of thick, sturdy white or wheat bread
- 1 tablespoon butter
- A few slices of turkey
- A few sage leaves
- A few spoonfuls of cranberry sauce (or raspberry jam!)
- 1 ounce goat cheese
- 2 slices cooked bacon
- 1 slice Muenster cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the skillet or panini press: Heat a skillet or panini press to medium-high heat to get it ready for toasting your sandwich.
- Assemble the sandwich: Place the bread on a plate. Start layering the turkey, sage leaves, cranberry sauce, goat cheese, bacon, and Muenster cheese between the two slices of bread. Spread butter on the outside of each bread slice to ensure a crispy, golden finish.
- Cook the panini: Transfer the sandwich to the hot skillet or panini press. Gently press the sandwich together so the ingredients hold. Allow the bread to turn a golden brown color, and ensure the interior cheese has melted and the ingredients are heated through.
- Slice and serve: Once cooked to perfection, remove the panini from the heat. Slice it in half and serve immediately for best results.
Notes
- You can substitute cranberry sauce with raspberry jam for a sweeter variation.
- Feel free to use any sturdy bread of your choice for this recipe.
- If Muenster cheese isn’t available, try substituting it with Swiss or Havarti.
- Adjust sage and cranberry sauce quantities to taste.
