Description

Huli Huli Chicken is a Hawaiian-inspired dish featuring succulent grilled chicken thighs marinated in a sweet and savory sauce. Perfect for a backyard barbecue or a tropical-themed dinner party.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup pineapple juice
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic

Chicken:

  • 45 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs

Instructions

  1. Marinade: Whisk together brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, pineapple juice, apple cider vinegar, ginger, and garlic. Reserve ⅓ cup for basting. Marinate chicken for 6-8 hours.
  2. Grilling: Preheat grill to medium-high. Grill chicken for about 5 minutes per side, until internal temperature reaches 165℉. Baste with reserved marinade and let rest before serving.
