Description

A refreshing and cozy Fall Spiced Apple Cider Sangria combining the warmth of cinnamon and brandy with crisp apples, orange slices, and rich wine. Perfect for autumn gatherings or a festive seasonal drink.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit and Spices

  • 2 apples (Honeycrisp recommended), chopped
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 3 cinnamon sticks

Liquids

  • 1 750ml bottle wine (Cabernet Sauvignon or white wine like Pinot Grigio)
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ½ cup brandy

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit: Chop the apples into bite-sized pieces and slice the orange into thin rounds. These will infuse the sangria with fresh, fruity flavor.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a large pitcher, add the chopped apples, orange slices, and cinnamon sticks. Pour in the brandy, wine, orange juice, and apple cider. Stir gently to mix all components thoroughly.
  3. Chill and infuse: Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and let it sit for at least 3 hours to allow the flavors to meld. For best results, chill for 4 hours or longer.
  4. Serve: Stir the sangria again before serving. Pour into glasses over ice if desired. Optionally, rim glasses with cinnamon sugar for an added festive touch.

Notes

  • For a cinnamon sugar rim, mix equal parts sugar and ground cinnamon on a plate, moisten glass rims with a slice of orange or water, then dip rims into the mixture.
  • Use either red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon) for a deeper flavor or a white wine like Pinot Grigio for a lighter version.
  • Allowing the sangria to chill longer intensifies the flavor as the fruits and spices infuse thoroughly.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding a little sugar or honey if desired.
  • No cooking is involved; this is a no-cook recipe making it quick and easy to prepare.
