Description

This Easy Christmas Crockpot Candy recipe combines creamy white almond bark, semisweet and German sweet chocolates, and crunchy dry roasted peanuts into festive, bite-sized clusters perfect for holiday gifting or snacking. Prepared effortlessly in a slow cooker, this no-bake treat lets you enjoy the rich flavors of melted chocolate and nuts with optional colorful holiday sprinkles for a festive touch.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Mixture

  • 2 lbs white almond bark (white candy coating), broken or chopped into smaller squares
  • 12 oz bag semisweet chocolate chips
  • 4 oz bar German sweet chocolate, broken or chopped into smaller squares

Additions

  • 32 oz dry roasted or cocktail peanuts
  • Holiday sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Slow Cooker: If desired, spray the slow cooker insert lightly with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Add Chocolates: Add chopped white almond bark, semisweet chocolate chips, and German sweet chocolate into the slow cooker.
  3. Melt Chocolates: Place a clean, dry kitchen towel over the slow cooker, then place the lid on top. Cook on HIGH for 1 hour, then reduce heat to LOW and cook for 1 more hour or until fully melted. Stir every 15-20 minutes to ensure even melting and prevent burning.
  4. Combine Peanuts: Remove the lid and towel carefully, avoiding condensation dripping into the chocolate. Add the dry roasted or cocktail peanuts and stir well to combine them thoroughly with the melted chocolate.
  5. Form Clusters: Line several baking sheets with wax paper. Using a spoon or small cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the candy mixture onto the wax paper. If desired, sprinkle holiday sprinkles over the clusters before they harden for a festive look.
  6. Set Candy: Refrigerate the trays of candy clusters for 30 minutes to 1 hour, until set. If refrigeration isn’t possible, allow candy to stand at room temperature until firm.
  7. Store: Once set, store the candy in a cool place inside an airtight container to maintain freshness and texture.

Notes

  • Slow cooker temperatures vary; monitor your candy closely to avoid overheating or burning.
  • Using a clean kitchen towel between the slow cooker and lid helps catch condensation and prevents water from mixing with the chocolate.
  • Holiday sprinkles are optional but add a colorful, festive touch to the candy clusters.
  • If white almond bark is unavailable, white candy coating can be used as a substitute.
