Sauce

  • 1/2 cup coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

Stir Fry

  • 1 tbsp avocado oil, or your favorite cooking oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 head of cabbage, thinly sliced – about 8 cups
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrot
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Green onion slices and sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: Combine coconut aminos, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper flakes in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Stir Fry: Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in ginger and garlic for 1 minute. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 5 minutes. Stir in cabbage, carrots, and the prepared sauce. Cook until the cabbage is wilted and the sauce is cooked down, about 5 minutes.
  3. Season and Serve: Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Serve the stir fry warm, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
