Ingredients
Scale
Cheese Log
- 8 oz log of goat cheese (chèvre)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Coating and Serving
- 1 large handful Craisins® dried cranberries
- Crackers, to serve with
Instructions
- Season the Cheese: Unwrap the goat cheese log and evenly sprinkle about 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon over all sides of the cheese log to add a warm, aromatic flavor.
- Prepare for Coating: If the cheese log is very cold, allow it to sit at room temperature briefly so it softens slightly and becomes sticky to the touch, which will help the cranberries adhere better.
- Coat with Cranberries: Pour a large handful of dried cranberries onto your work surface. Roll the cheese log gently into the cranberries, then pick up a few cranberries at a time and press them gently but firmly into the cheese log to fill any gaps, ensuring an even, festive coating.
- Serve or Store: If serving immediately, place the cranberry-coated cheese log on a serving plate alongside crackers. If preparing in advance, wrap the cheese log tightly in wax paper twisted at the ends like a tootsie roll and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
- Allowing the cheese to warm slightly makes it easier to coat with cranberries.
- Use wax paper to wrap the cheese log to preserve freshness and shape.
- Serve with your favorite crackers for a perfect pairing.
- This recipe can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
