Ingredients
Scale
Wrap Base
- 4 Large Flour Tortillas
Filling
- 2 cups Fresh Romaine Lettuce, washed and dried well
- 2 Grilled Chicken Breasts, sliced
- ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice (optional)
- ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
Optional Toppings
- ½ cup Croutons
- ½ cup Cherry Tomatoes, halved
- ¼ cup Bacon Bits
Dressing & Seasoning
- 4 tablespoons Caesar Dressing
- ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Cook the chicken breasts thoroughly on a grill or stovetop until fully cooked and lightly browned. Allow the chicken to cool completely before slicing into strips to prevent sogginess in the wrap.
- Prepare the Romaine and Ingredients: Wash and dry the romaine lettuce thoroughly to ensure crispness. Prepare the optional ingredients like halving the cherry tomatoes and measuring out croutons and bacon bits.
- Assemble the Wraps: Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a thin, even layer of Caesar dressing in the center of the tortilla. Add a layer of dry romaine leaves on top of the dressing, followed by a line of sliced grilled chicken down the middle. Sprinkle garlic powder, fresh lemon juice if using, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, and any optional toppings such as croutons, cherry tomatoes, and bacon bits.
- Wrap the Filling: Fold the bottom edge of the tortilla up over the filling. Then fold both sides tightly inward. Roll firmly from the bottom up to create a secure wrap. Use plastic wrap or a toothpick to secure the shape if needed.
- Chill and Rest: Place the wraps in the refrigerator. Allow them to rest for at least 10 minutes before cutting to help the filling set and prevent falling apart.
- Serve or Store: Use a sharp knife to cut the wraps diagonally for a clean presentation. Wrap each individually if storing for later use or serving to guests.
Notes
- Ensure the chicken is fully cooled to prevent sogginess inside the wrap.
- Use fresh, crisp romaine lettuce for the best texture.
- Optional toppings like croutons and bacon bits add extra texture and flavor but can be omitted for a lighter wrap.
- Wraps can be prepared ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
- For a gluten-free version, substitute flour tortillas with gluten-free wraps.
- Adjust garlic powder and black pepper to taste depending on preference.
