Ingredients

Units Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups corn or rice Chex cereal
  • 2 cups original Cap’n Crunch cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups original Cheerios
  • 1 cup mini twist pretzels

Toppings

  • 14 ounces vanilla almond bark
  • 7 1/2 ounces Easter M&Ms
  • 2 tablespoons Easter sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Sheet
Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. This will prevent the snack mix from sticking and make it easy to cool and transfer.
  2. Combine the Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, stir together the Chex cereal, Cap’n Crunch, Cheerios, and pretzels. This will form the base of the snack mix.
  3. Melt the Almond Bark
In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt the almond bark according to the package directions. Stir the almond bark occasionally to ensure it melts evenly.
  4. Coat the Mix
Drizzle the melted almond bark over the cereal mixture in the large bowl. Toss or gently fold the mixture to ensure all the dry ingredients are well coated with the almond bark.
  5. Transfer to the Baking Sheet
Spread the coated cereal mixture evenly onto the prepared rimmed baking sheet. Use a spatula to level it out if necessary.
  6. Add the Toppings
Sprinkle the Easter M&Ms and sprinkles (if using) over the top of the cereal mix while the almond bark is still wet, so they stick firmly.
  7. Cool and Serve
Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature until the almond bark hardens completely. Once cooled, break into smaller pieces and serve.

Notes

  • Bunny Bait is highly customizable. You can add ingredients like raisins, nuts, or popcorn for variety.
  • To melt almond bark, microwave it in 15-30 second intervals, stirring frequently to avoid scorching.
  • Store this snack mix in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
  • Colorful sprinkles and M&Ms can be swapped to match any holiday or special occasion.
