  • 12 oz. beer of choice *darker beers give more flavor
  • Oil for frying

Red Pepper Aioli:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup roasted red peppers, minced (about 6 oz. drained)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Red Pepper Aioli: Mix all aioli ingredients in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Heat Oil: Heat frying oil in a large pot to 350-375°F.
  3. Prepare Onions: Peel onions, slice into rings, and set aside.
  4. Make Dry Batter: Combine flour, corn starch, sugar, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder in a bowl. Dredge onion rings in the mixture.
