Instructions
- Prepare the Apple Slices: Cut the apple into ¼-inch thick slices and core each slice. You should get about 3 to 4 slices from one apple.
- Mix the Topping: In a bowl, thoroughly combine the shredded coconut, almond butter, and maple syrup until the mixture is uniform and sticky enough to spread.
- Assemble the Samoas: Spread the coconut and nut butter mixture evenly on top of each apple slice. Lay the topped slices on parchment paper for easy clean-up.
- Melt Chocolate: Gently melt the chocolate chips together with coconut oil until smooth. This can be done in a microwave in short bursts or on a stovetop double boiler.
- Drizzle and Chill: Drizzle the melted chocolate over the assembled apple slices. Place the tray into the freezer for about 5 to 10 minutes until the chocolate firms up.
