Description

Indulge in perfectly cooked Air Fryer Shrimp with Garlic Butter, a quick and delicious meal that combines succulent shrimp with a rich, flavorful garlic butter sauce. This easy-to-make dish is perfect for busy weeknights or impressive entertaining.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the shrimp:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled, deveined, tails on
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

For the garlic butter:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shrimp: Place the shrimp in a large bowl and add the olive oil, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly, ensuring each shrimp is well-seasoned.
  2. Preheat and cook: Preheat the air fryer to 400° Fahrenheit. Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray, then add the shrimp to the air fryer in a single layer without overlapping. Air fry for 6 minutes or until the shrimp is pink, curled, and opaque. Repeat with the remaining shrimp, cooking in batches if necessary.
  3. Make the garlic butter: While the shrimp are cooking, melt the butter in a small skillet or saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Remove the pan from the heat and whisk in the lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, red pepper flakes, and parsley, if using.
  4. Serve: Drizzle the garlic butter over the cooked shrimp and serve immediately. For a complete meal, serve over rice if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic in the butter sauce for the best flavor.
  • Cook shrimp in batches to avoid overcrowding the air fryer.
  • Preheat the air fryer for a few minutes before cooking to ensure the proper temperature.
  • Cooking time may vary depending on shrimp size. Adjust as needed.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
