For the Pasta Chips
- 8 ounces rigatoni noodles, cooked al dente and drained
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For Finishing
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for air frying)
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- Prepare the Pasta: Cook the rigatoni noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain well and transfer to a large bowl.
- Toss with Seasonings: Add 2 tablespoons olive oil, minced garlic, kosher salt, and black pepper to the drained pasta. Toss until the noodles are evenly coated.
- Air Fry the Pasta: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes. Drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil over the pasta, then arrange the coated noodles in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if needed).
- Cook Until Crispy: Air fry the pasta for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the noodles are golden brown and crispy.
- Add Parmesan and Serve: Transfer the hot pasta chips to a bowl and immediately sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese. Toss well to evenly coat. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches for maximum crispiness.
- Experiment with other pasta shapes for variety.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, like marinara or ranch.
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of chili flakes while tossing with seasonings.
